Sunyata is a small resort in General Luna, Siargao, made for slow mornings, long swims and the feeling that you have nowhere else to be.
Our name
Spaciousness, on purpose
Sunyata comes from a Sanskrit word often translated as emptiness or openness. For us it simply means space: room to breathe, to rest and to let the day unfold.
That idea shaped everything here, from the thatched villas with their high ceilings and arched windows to the quiet pool at the centre of the resort. We kept the design simple, the materials natural and the pace gentle, so the island can do the rest.

Good to know before you book
Where is Sunyata Resort Siargao?
We are in Purok V, General Luna, Siargao Island, 8419, Philippines. General Luna is the island’s surf and dining hub, and the resort sits among palms a short ride from the beach.
How do we get to the resort?
Fly into Siargao (Sayak) Airport, about 17 km away, and we can arrange a private van transfer for you. Please send us your flight details and we will take care of the rest.
What time are check-in and check-out?
[Check-in from 2:00 PM and check-out by 12:00 PM – to be confirmed by the resort.] If you arrive early or leave late, message us and we will do our best to help.
What room types do you have?
Four: the Premium Villa (60 m², with a private pool and spa tub), the Queen Villa (55 m², with a patio over the pool), the Superior Room (40 m², high floor with a balcony) and the Deluxe Room (40 m²). All have air conditioning, a private bathroom, soundproofing and fast Wi-Fi. See all of them on our Stay page.
How many guests can each room sleep?

Is there a pool?
Yes. Our leisure pool has sun loungers and fresh towels, and most rooms and villas look out over it. The Premium Villa also has its own private pool.
Is breakfast included?

Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes. Fast, stable Wi-Fi is free throughout the resort, which makes it a comfortable base for remote work.
Do you offer airport transfers?
Yes, we offer private van transfers to and from the airport. Please contact us before you arrive so we can arrange it.
What is there to do around the resort?
Most guests surf, explore the island and relax by the pool. We can arrange daily tours to Sugba Lagoon and the Maasin River, private or shared, at extra cost. Cloud 9, cafes, restaurants and surf shops are all within a short ride.
When is the best time to visit Siargao?
Siargao is warm all year. The main surf season is generally from around August to November, and the driest, calmest weather is usually from March to May. Conditions change from year to year, so message us if you would like current advice.
Is there parking?
Yes, we have free on-site parking. Scooters and cars can be rented in General Luna, and we are happy to point you to trusted rental shops.
